Introduction to Bellydance
(3 hours or 1.5 hours - £15 or £10 per person)
Learn some basic moves and shimmies putting them together into a short, but fun choreography. Ideal for those wanting to try bellydance for the first time, or for special occasions such as birthdays and Hen Parties.
No dance experience necessary. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring some water to drink.
Intermediate level workshop
(3 hours - £15 per person)
Develop your existing technique with layering. This workshop focuses on conditioning the body in preparation for layering and breaking down the technique itself.
Please wear comfortable clothes to exercise in (eg yoga pants or leggings) and bring yoga mat and water. Must have a minimum of 1 year's bellydance experience.
High energy Bellydance workout
(3 hours - £15 per person)
Prepare your body for extended performance sets and give all your bellydancer muscles a serious workout. This workshop will help you to isolate and exercise the major muscle groups used in Bellydance. After a high energy workout, we will see how technique has already been improved by concluding the workshop with a short session of improvisation.
Please wear comfortable clothes to exercise in (eg yoga pants or leggings) and bring yoga mat and water. Must have a minimum of 1 year's bellydance experience.
Veil work
(3 hours or 1.5 hours - £15 or £10 per person)
The veil adds to the elegance and flow of bellydance. It is also a useful way to develop good arm placement. Learn the technique of dancing with this wonderful prop, as well as a choreography.
Please wear circle skirts, or similar. Must have minimum of 3 months bellydance experience.
Sword: Posture and floorwork
(1.5 hours - £12 per person)
There are many ways to dance with a sword. This workshop focuses on how to maintain the strong posture required for sword balance as well as the use of floorwork.
Please wear comfortable clothes to exercise in (eg yoga pants or leggings) and bring yoga mat, sword and headscarf. Must have minimum of 2 years bellydance experience.
